Q.(14) I am a competitive person in both my work and sports. I want to learn how to be in the zone and reach my full potential. What are some methods that I can use to perform in the zone and focus better?
ANSWER by Dr Maddy
Operating in the zone is the key. A less talented athlete with good focus can beat a more talented athlete who can’t focus as well. Read page 140, Potential, in The Psychology of Synergy. All of my books and CD’s are for empowerment and meant to combine intellect and experience to produce authentic power.
Potential
Even when we are at our best, most of us tap no more than three quarters of our potential. Breathing techniques, relaxation exercise and visualizations help to maximize efficiency, creativity and productivity. These approaches enable the being to recharge itself. At least forty minutes twice a day is recommended to set aside for this. Your skills even in exercising will become more efficient. Understanding problem-solving and decision-making can become less taxing once you are able to detach yourself emotionally from highly charged situations. By relaxing, one can be more objective in seeing an entire picture rather than one side of it. Sensitizing yourself to the energy frequencies of others will help you assess people and situations with greater accuracy.
Once you develop the ability to keep the mind, body and emotions in
proper balance and are able to harness and redirect energy, you will
improve your health and outlook and operate at higher levels than ever
before.
