Q.(13) I have been the major caretaker (caregiver) for my parents and children. Please give me more coping skills.
We are all a caretaker or caregiver whether we are friends, parents, or children. Listen to my CD on Coping Skills for Caregivers or At Ease With Alzheimer’s and read page 32 in The Psychology of Synergy.
Personal power is the ability to act in a manner that strengthens the whole entity. Hoping only gives the incentive for action, but hoping, itself, creates nothing but the seed to start. New behavior equals new results. Start to reframe old patterns into new ones that will bring the results you seek. Use your mistakes as learning experiences and develop new goals from these new approaches. Your attitudes affect your nervous system and, in turn, affect your immune system. Become aware of what beliefs and attitudes you have and how they are affecting your health.
The world is what you think it is. Opinions are how you view the world. Changing your opinions give you a different perspective of the world. The more responses you have, the more opportunities for success. Your reality is only an ultimate illusion. Make yours the illusion of abundance and contentment.
